One of our favorite challenges is transforming a space with constraints. Thinking creatively and literally “outside the box”, we were able to open up this 575 sq ft studio apartment to reflect a much larger area, and utilize one of the most sought after features in New York City, a private backyard. The entire apartment was originally finished with drywall, and needless to say, we were all in agreement that it had to go. Large triple glazed windows and doors were fitted, making sure the city noises stay outside, but on the beautiful spring and fall days, can be invited in.
